Cryptocurrencies have been used widely in a variety of transactions nowadays. In Thailand, the number of individuals concluding cryptocurrencyrelated transactions has been rising. Therefore, the article aims to explain the relevant personal income tax burden. However, at present, there are only a handful of Thai legal provisions introduced to levy a personal income tax on cryptocurrency-related transactions. This issue together with lack of evident regulations or practical guides from the Revenue Department could be a trigger for certain tax problems. Hence, this article will suggest a solution thereof as well.
