The outbreak of Covid - 19 pandemic and the measures of states used to prevent the spread of viral infection have inevitably affected the court proceedings. The Court of Justice has long prepared and developed innovation and technology for the administration of justice e.g. electronic filing system, online mediation, video conference which enables the court to seamlessly sustain the proceedings and administration of justice under these circumstances. With the advantages and efficiency of innovation and technology in trial and adjudication, it leads to the sustainable growth of using innovation and technology and may become the new normal of the court proceeding even after the pandemic. However, in tandem with the use of innovation and technology in trial and adjudication, it considers striking the balance between efficiency and other values of justice system. The innovation and technology should not affect the principle of trial in a fair, open and transparent manner, nor undermine the parties with limited access to technology, which may impact the result of the case.
